Copilot is switched on. Now to know what to do with it.
A Copilot licence changes nothing about how someone works. What makes the difference is whether people know where Copilot helps in their own work, and what they can and cannot do with it. So this is not a course about buttons, but the start of Copilot in your organisation: with your own tasks, your own rules and a follow-up two weeks later.
- Duration
- One 3-hour morning, plus a 1-hour follow-up session two weeks later
- Format
- In-company, hands-on in your own Microsoft 365 environment
- Group size
- 6 to 15 participants per group
- Level
- No prior knowledge needed
- Language
- Dutch or English
- Location
- At your premises or online, agreed at the intake
Who it is for
This session is for
- Organisations that have bought Microsoft 365 Copilot or are about to
- Teams that have Copilot but hardly use it
- Organisations that must meet the AI literacy obligation and want to show who has been trained
- Companies that want to agree what is and is not allowed when they start with Copilot
And not for
- Teams that use ChatGPT rather than Copilot: choose Getting started with AI
- Anyone who wants to build their own agents or automations: that is AI workflows and agents
- A management team that first wants to decide where AI pays off: start with the management session
Is your situation listed above? Say so in the request and we will point you to the session that does fit.
What it delivers
After this session you can
- Use Copilot for your own recurring tasks in Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Teams
- Phrase a request so you get a usable answer, and correct course when the answer is wrong
- Know which data you can and cannot enter, and why
- Know your organisation's rules on using AI
- Know where to go with questions after the training
AI literacy
Need more than one session for the whole organisation?
This session is a building block of our AI literacy programme: training per role, policy, the set-up of your tools and a record that shows what has been done.
Programme
What the session looks like.
- Beforehand
Collecting your tasks
Every participant gets a short questionnaire: which tasks take the most time, where do you get stuck, what would you leave to AI and what not? The answers become the examples in the session, instead of a standard story. You review the questionnaire before it goes out.
- 30 min
Copilot and the rules
What Copilot can do in your Microsoft 365, and how it differs from the AI tools people use privately. Then the dos and don'ts: from your AI policy if you have one, otherwise general rules. We finish with the problems mentioned most in the questionnaire.
- 40 min
Prompting as a skill
How to ask a question that gets a usable answer, and what to do when the answer is wrong. Everyone practises with an example of their own.
- 65 min
Copilot in the apps you use every day
Outlook: summarising emails and drafting replies. Word: writing and rewriting text. Excel: analysing a file. PowerPoint: making a first draft. Teams: minutes and action points from a meeting. Each time with a task from the questionnaire.
- 45 min
Working safely and the next step
Which data does and does not belong in Copilot, what AI literacy means and where Copilot's limits are. We answer the open questions and map out where the biggest opportunities are.
- Two weeks later, 1 hour
Follow-up session
The questions that came up in practice, and what does and does not work. So it does not stop after one morning.
An indication, not a timetable. After the intake we move blocks around, or drop one, if your situation calls for it.
What you take home
Tangible, and yours.
- Examples and prompts for the tasks that come up most in your team
- An overview of the rules: what is and is not allowed in Copilot
- A certificate of attendance for each participant
- A participant list for the organiser: who was trained and when
Preparation
What you arrange beforehand.
- A Microsoft 365 Copilot licence per participant, activated before the training
- A list of participants with their email addresses, so we can send the questionnaire
- A laptop per participant, and on site a room with a screen and wifi
- If you have one: your AI policy or rules on using AI
This is the most common reason a session only half succeeds: accounts that do not work or missing permissions. We send this list with the confirmation too, but sort it out earlier if you can.
The trainers
We run every session together.
We are not a training institute but an agency that does this work. What we show runs at clients, not only in the classroom.
Michael van Wijhe
Founder, performance marketing and data
Works daily on campaigns, dashboards and scoring models for clients in the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany and Central Europe.
Maarten Clement
Founder, AI workflows and automation
Builds the workflows, GPTs and integrations that survive a session. From first prototype to something that runs every day.
Investment
What determines the investment.
We do not put a price on the site, because no two sessions are the same. What does determine the price we can happily explain — so you know what you are looking at before you ask.
Number of participants
Up to twelve works well, fifteen for some sessions. Above that we split the group into several sessions.
Duration
Half a day or a full day. A full day is not two half days: it adds practice, not theory.
Degree of tailoring
Working with your own accounts, data and campaigns means preparation on our side.
Location
At your office, at ours, or online.
After a thirty-minute intake you get a programme proposal with a fixed price within one working day, no strings attached.
Would you rather see a price first and sign up on your own? The masterclass performance marketing and AI is also in the open programme at NIMA.
Practical
Other things worth knowing.
In-company, no open enrolment
We come to you and the session is about your work. The masterclass via NIMA is the one exception.
Always two of us
One in front of the group, one walking around. In hands-on work that is the difference between keeping up and dropping out.
Dutch or English
Mixed teams too: we run the session in English when that works better, materials included.
Rescheduling is fine
Free of charge up to two weeks beforehand. After that we find a solution together.
Frequently asked
What people ask us beforehand.
What does it cost?
That depends on the number of participants, the duration, how much tailoring is involved and where we run it. Request the programme: after a thirty-minute intake you have a proposal with a fixed price within one working day, no strings attached.
Can a single person sign up?
Not for our own sessions: those are in-company and built around your team's work. Anyone wanting to attend alone can join the masterclass performance marketing and AI, which is also in the open programme at NIMA.
How quickly can you do this?
A session can usually be scheduled within three to four weeks. If you are in a hurry, say so — sometimes it can be sooner.
What happens after I submit the form?
We read your request and call or email within one working day for a short thirty-minute intake. The programme proposal with the price follows after that. You are not committed to anything.
Do participants get a certificate?
From us you get a confirmation of attendance.
Does this help with the AI literacy obligation under the AI Act?
Yes. The AI literacy obligation has applied since February 2025. The AI Omnibus (July 2026) made it lighter: organisations must support the AI knowledge of their staff rather than guarantee a specific level. Our sessions cover safe use, privacy and the limits of a model as standard, and you get a participant list to evidence who has been trained.
Can we train more than one group?
Yes. We prefer to group people by the kind of work they do, so the examples fit. Each group gets its own morning and its own follow-up session.
We do not have an AI policy yet. Is that a problem?
No. We then cover general dos and don'ts. If you want your own policy from the start, we draw it up with you beforehand and launch it in the training.
Does the certificate count for the AI Act?
Article 4 requires staff who work with AI to have sufficient knowledge of it. With the certificates and the participant list you can show who has been trained. It is proof of attendance, not a legal judgement on compliance.
Doesn't Microsoft offer free training material?
It does, and it is a good basis. What it does not do: practise with your own tasks, cover your own rules and come back two weeks later to what gets stuck in practice.
Do we build agents as well?
No, this training is about using Copilot well as it is today. Building your own agents is a next step; for that there is AI workflows and agents.
